Forest Walk to Port D'Allaman

Forest Walk to Port D'Allaman

We joined some friends who come here regularly for their family outing, and everyone had a wonderful time!

You can reach this walk by car, which takes around 45minutes down the motorway from Geneva.

The walk can be very short, about 15 minutes to the car park, or you can take a diversion through the woods to make the walk around 30 minutes. Starting point is the small public car park on Route de la Plage.

You take the small road opposite the car park which takes you past a kiwi plantation. I had actually never seen a kiwi tree before, so that was intriguing!

At the end of this road, you can either stay on the main gravel path which brings you directly to the beach, or we took a left turn down a small path through the woods for a longer way there.

The children were having a great time collecting acorns and sticks as we made our way through the forest.

The small path through the forest will eventually bring you to a river; take a right here and walk along the river which will bring you to the beach.

Once we arrived at the beach, Luka embraced the cold waters by fetching sticks and the children busied themselves looking for glass coins amongst the pebbles.

This is a wonderful flat walk, with shade and water to escape the heat during the summer.
