Crans-près-Céligny - Walk and Play Park combo

I happen to be staying at a friend’s house who lives here, so thought I would do a walk then visit the local play park.

Total walking time: approx. 30 minutes though can easily be extended if needed.

The walk is simply a rectangular loop following the road around the fields and back to the playground.

Start point for the walk is at the car park right next to the play park on Chemin des Sports.

The walk is around some agricultural fields but part of it runs along a stream so Luka was happy to take the opportunity for a dip on this hot day. His friend Twiggy the Whippet was not so keen to get in the water though!

Because the walk follows the paved roads running along the fields, it is totally pram-friendly.

The only thing to note is that on a very hot day like today, this route doesn’t offer much cover from the sun. Today I actually had to cut the walk short and head back to the car park to give the dogs some water as they looked like they were getting over-heated!

Fun factor for child: 4/5 - A nice flat walk through the fields then play at the park!

Fun factor for dog: 4/5 - Run,dip and sniff!

Pram-friendly: Yes

Water Access for dogs: Yes, there is a stream running alongside the path as you walk up from the play park to the water fountain.

Potable water: Yes, there is a potable water fountain at the first corner as you walk up towards the motorway.

Baby changing facilities: No

Other Notes: Part of the walking route is a National Cycle route, meaning there are lots of cyclists using this road, so please be vigilant and keep your children and dogs under control so as to not cause accidents.
