Geneva Hiking with Dogs - February Edition - Nant d'Avril

Geneva Hiking with Dogs - February Edition - Nant d'Avril

I happen to also be the organiser of a group called Geneva Hiking with Dogs, which I do on a voluntary basis and has been running for a little over three years now!

Walks generally take place around once a month, and I try to do them in different locations to encourage people living in all corners of Geneva and the surrounding areas to attend.

If you are interested in joining one of the walks, you will find the group on meetup.com, Facebook and glocals.com

The February edition took place in Nant d’Avril and we had a lovely group of 5 dogs.

Total walking time: 1.5 hours

For a full description and GPS map of the route, check out my previous post about it here.

We had 5 familiar faces who made the most of this lovely walk which takes us through the woods, along footpaths and along the stream of Nant d’Avril.

We were also joined by Denise who misses having a dog so came along for some furry company!

Along the way, we met the owner of a Bull Terrier who had gone missing two nights before….we didn’t spot the dog at all, but we were relieved to hear soon after getting home that the dog had been found!

Whilst the weather hadn’t been great in the week leading up to it, we were blessed with a lovely sunny morning so I think everyone was happy and suitably tired after the walk!

I’ll look forward to organising the next walk!
