Geneva Hiking with Dogs - February Edition - Bois de Jussy
I happen to also be the organiser of a group called Geneva Hiking with Dogs, which I do on a voluntary basis and has been running for a little over two years now!
Walks generally take place around once a month, and I try to do them in different locations to encourage people living in all corners of Geneva and the surrounding areas to attend.
If you are interested in joining one of the walks, you will find the group on meetup.com, Facebook and glocals.com
The February edition took place in Bois de Jussy and we had a lovely group of 6 very lively dogs!
Total walking time: 1.5 hours
To start the walk, you can park in the small car park on the side of the road right next to the woods. Alternatively I park on the verge by the tall trees a little further up the road towards Jussy, on Chemin des Grands Bois.

This is a nice walk through the woods, though it is also a bridal path and on this sunny Sunday we met numerous horses. The dogs were impeccably behaved though, and we put them on a leash and let the horses pass when ever we came across them.
We had 6 lively dogs who played pretty much the whole time we were walking, so they were suitably exhausted by the time we got back to the cars.
Being a completely flat loop, it is pram and child-friendly. Your child could certainly walk it, if old enough to walk for 1.5 hours. Alternatively if your child likes to ride a bike, it would be doable as long as you stay on the main gravel paths inside the woods.
Pram-friendly: Yes
Water Access for dogs: No
Potable Water: No
Leash-free: Yes, although between 1st April and 15th July dogs must be kept on a lead
